Foreign Trade University - Faculty of International Education

On April 13^th 2022, Professor Joshua K. Park – Dean of Solbridge International School of Business (South Korea) came to visit and worked with Foreign Trade University Leaders. This is the first business trip of his with the new role as the Dean.after the Covid 19 pandemic.

Welcoming Professor Park there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien, Vice President for International Education; Assoc. Prof. Dr Ho Thuy Ngoc, Dean of International Education; Ms Dao Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of International Affairs and Mr Nguyen Huyen Minh, Head of Public Relations & Communication.

During the meeting, the two universities discussed about comprehensive cooperation opportunities in supporting student development, enhancing scientific research, broadening the cooperation with Hochiminh City Campus of FTU and working on the PhD joint training program. The details are as follows.

The Business Adminstration undegraduate program cooperated between Solbridge International School of Business (South Korea) and FTU has been launched from academic year 2017-2018.  The number of students applying for the program has been increased year over year, especially in the academic year 2020-2021. Accordingly, Professor Park expressed his desire to launch the program in Hochiminh City Campus as well. From academic year 2022-2023, students can apply for the Business Administration program at Department of International Education, Hochiminh City Campus.

Besides, Professor Park highly appreciated the quality of FTU students in both academic area as well as their activeness and enthusiasm in international competitions. In order to support the students , he suggested providing the online portal for them to communicate with Solbridge on-campus students and lecturers and access the e-library.

Furthermore, Professor Park emphasized that he would like to invite FTU lecturers to come and teach for the PAM and Solbridge programs in Korea, as well as sending the Solbridge lecturers to teach at FTU.

The two parties also agreed to launch a PhD joint training program in Global Management major.

The meeting between Professor Joshua K.Park – Dean of Solbridge International School and Foreign Trade University Leaders has been successfully finished, broadening the cooperation of the two universities.
