Foreign Trade University - Faculty of International Education

On the morning of October 13, 2025, Foreign Trade University (FTU) organized the workshop “Compliance with New Regulations on International Joint Training Programs in Vietnam.” The event aimed to update, exchange, and align implementation plans for Circular No. 07/2020/TT-BGDĐT in the new context of international higher education in Vietnam, with the participation of representatives from foreign partner universities and academic faculties across FTU.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien, Vice Rector of Foreign Trade University, emphasized the importance of proactively understanding and applying new regulations in managing, organizing, and accrediting joint training programs. He reaffirmed FTU’s strong commitment to maintaining high academic quality and consolidating its pioneering position in international education cooperation.

The workshop welcomed representatives from 11 international partner universities of FTU, including: Monash University (Australia), University of Bedfordshire (United Kingdom), University of Northampton (United Kingdom), TMC Academy (Singapore), Ming Chuan University (Taiwan), University of New Brunswick (Canada), Curtin University (Australia), Niagara University (United States), Vatel School of Hospitality and Tourism Business (France), University of the West of England – Bristol (United Kingdom), and Angelo State University (United States).

During the workshop, representatives from partner universities shared perspectives, practical experiences, and discussed solutions to enhance program alignment, accreditation efficiency, and teaching quality. The discussions focused on building sustainable and compliant international education partnerships in accordance with Vietnam’s current legal framework.

The participation of universities from the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, the United States, Taiwan, Singapore, and France fostered a dynamic academic exchange atmosphere, opening new opportunities for cooperation and development of FTU’s international joint training programs in the coming years. The workshop reinforced FTU’s orientation towards high-quality, transparent, and internationally accredited education partnerships in Vietnam.
