Foreign Trade University - Faculty of International Education

On the morning of Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the courtyard of Building D – Foreign Trade University (FTU), the Graduation Ceremony for International Joint Training Programs 2025 was solemnly held in a warm and emotional atmosphere.

The ceremony marked an important milestone in the academic journey and personal growth of 313 new graduates and postgraduates from six international joint programs, including:

• Master of International Trade and Economic Law in partnership with the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) – Cohort 7

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) in partnership with the University of Northampton – Cohort 1

• Bachelor of International Hotel Management in partnership with Vatel School of Hospitality and Tourism Business (France) – Cohort 4

• Bachelor of Accounting and Finance in partnership with the University of Northampton – Cohort 4

• Bachelor of Marketing Management in partnership with the University of Northampton – Cohort 5

• Bachelor of Business in partnership with the University of Bedfordshire – Cohort 14

The event proudly welcomed distinguished guests from FTU leadership, including:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong – Rector
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy – Executive Member of the University Council
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien – Vice Rector
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Hien – Vice Rector
along with leaders of faculties and departments of the Faculty of International Education.

From the international partner universities, FTU was honored to welcome:

• University of the West of England (UWE Bristol, UK): Ms. Yvonne Beach – Deputy Vice Chancellor and Dean of Business & Law; Ms. Sarah Grabham – Deputy Dean of Business & Law.

• University of Bedfordshire (UK): Mr. Chris Marshall – Head of the Business School.

• University of Northampton (UK): Ms. Karen Jones – Dean of Business & Law.

• Vatel Vietnam: Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Giang – Executive Director.

• TMC Academy (Singapore): Mr. John Lee – Executive Director.

Also in attendance were lecturers, staff members, families, and loved ones of the graduates – those who have supported them every step of the way.

Opening the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuy Ngoc, Dean of the Faculty of International Education, summarized the academic achievements and recognized the outstanding efforts of all students throughout their studies at FTU. Among 395 students and learners enrolled in the international joint programs at the main campus, 313 successfully completed their studies, achieving a graduation rate of 95.5%, with many earning Distinction or High Distinction – a testament to FTU students’ dedication, perseverance, and ambition in an international learning environment.

In her congratulatory remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong, Rector of FTU, extended heartfelt congratulations and expressed pride in the graduates’ accomplishments. She also invited students to take a reflective moment to express gratitude toward their parents, professors, and those who have quietly supported them along the way – a touching part of the ceremony that filled the courtyard with warmth and emotion.

The turning of the tassel marked the official moment when students became FTU graduates, ready to embark on a new journey with confidence, courage, and aspirations to go global.

One of the most memorable highlights of the ceremony was the recognition of valedictorians and outstanding students from each program – a well-deserved honor for their academic excellence, commitment, and spirit of continuous learning. These graduates embody FTU’s values of creativity, adaptability, and global citizenship.

In the “Message to the Future” segment, student representatives delivered heartfelt words of gratitude to their teachers, families, and friends, while promising to carry forward the FTU spirit – to strive, innovate, and contribute positively to the community.

The ceremony concluded in a sea of proud smiles and shining eyes – a celebration of both achievement and new beginnings.

The 2025 Graduation Ceremony not only celebrated individual success but also reaffirmed FTU’s long-term commitment to delivering internationally accredited joint training programs, bridging academic knowledge and global practice right here in Vietnam.
