Why is understanding history important for students studying Journalism and Mass Communication?
“The perspective of journalism is inherently political and ideological, making the writer's viewpoint very significant. When it comes to historical issues, a perspective, viewpoint, and stance are essential. History can be distorted or misrepresented due to various interests, particularly from hostile forces or foreign aggressors during our nation's past. Therefore, it is even more crucial for us to study history. Students need to understand it to develop accurate viewpoints, thoughts, and stances that align with the interests of the nation.
