FROM A PHARMACY MAJOR TO A PRESTIGIOUS MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP – THE BREAKTHROUGH JOURNEY OF A STUDENT FROM THE FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

“Making the wrong choice once doesn’t mean your future is closed” - the story of Tran Thi Minh Ngoc, a student of the Bachelor’s program in Accounting & Finance jointly offered by Foreign Trade University (FTU) and the University of Northampton (UK) - Cohort 4, is a vivid testament to this belief.
Once a pharmacy student, Minh Ngoc experienced great uncertainty when she realized that her initial path was not truly the right fit. Instead of stopping, she took a new turn - joining the Faculty of International Education at FTU and enrolling in the Accounting & Finance joint program with the University of Northampton (UK).
In just three years, Minh Ngọc not only excelled academically but also achieved an impressive list of accomplishments:

Recently, Minh Ngọc was awarded full Master’s scholarships from two top UK universities: the Think Big Scholarship - University of Bristol (Business Excellence) and the Academic Excellence Scholarship - University of Southampton. This is a source of pride not only for her but also for the Faculty of International Education at FTU.
Ngoc shared:
“Since I used to be a pharmacy student, switching to economics made me fearful and anxious about the future. But the Faculty of International Education gave me a new and suitable springboard, along with tremendous support, so I could confidently reach where I am today.”
