Foreign Trade University - Faculty of International Education

On October 19, 2023, the Ministry of Education and Training, the British Embassy and the British Council in Vietnam co-organized the UK - Vietnam Higher Education Cooperation Forum with the participation of Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc - Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Mr. Iain Frew - Ambassador of the British Embassy in Vietnam.

Assoc. Prof. Ho Thuy Ngoc - Dean of the Faculty of International Education – Foreign Trade University was invited to participate in the discussion with Dr. Pham Nhu Nghe - Deputy Director of the Department of Higher Education, KnightSteve Smith - British Global Education Ambassador, Professor Rick Bennett - Vice Principal Dean and Vice President, British University Vietnam and Dr. Faye Taylor - Deputy Director of Strategy and International Partnerships, British Ministry of Education on strategies and priorities for university development in Vietnam.

One special thing is that Knight Steve Smith, a former student of the University of the West of England, one of the long-time partners of the Foreign Trade University, was very happy with the development of the Master of Laws in Economics and Law program. International Trade in Vietnam. The University of the West of England ranks 24th in the 2023 UK university rankings (according to The Guardian). The Master of International Economic and Trade Law program is the only Master of Law program in Vietnam in which students can choose to study entirely in the country or transfer to the UK. The program provides high quality human resources for the Law industry and is one of the prestigious training cooperation programs between Vietnamese and British education systems.
