Foreign Trade University - Faculty of International Education

On February 13, 2023, on the occasion of the former French Prime Minister, Mayor of Le Havre City (France) - Mr. Eduord Philippe’s visit to Vietnam, a reception party was held by the French Ambassador Mr. Nicolas Warnery, at the French Embassy in Hanoi. This is an important diplomatic event in a series marking the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries (1973 - 2023). Attending the event were representatives of businesses and strategic educational partners, including Foreign Trade University.

According to Mr. Eduord Philippe, the main purpose of the visit is to promote cooperation between French local businesses and Vietnamese businesses, and especially to strengthen cooperation in education.

With the introduction of Mr. Ambassador, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuy Ngoc – Dean of the Faculty of International Education had a discussion with Mr. Michael Hauchecorne - Director of Sciences Po University in Le Havre (France) about future opportunities to develop education programs. Sciences Po is one of the leading public research universities in France, ranked 259th in the world according to QS Ranking 2023.

Mr. Michael Hauchecorne shared with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuy Ngoc that during the meeting with the Minister of Education & Training - Dr. Nguyen Kim Son on the morning of February 13, 2023, he actively proposed to work with Foreign Trade University after hearing praise from French diplomatic agencies about FTU’s professionalism in implementing international education programs.

In addition to representatives from businesses, the reception also has the participation of lecturers of the international hotel management program between Foreign Trade University and Vatel Hotel & Tourism Business School (France).

The education program between Foreign Trade University and French partners has made an important contribution to promoting educational cooperation between the two countries, thereby consolidating and strengthening the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam-France.
