On the morning of April 12, 2025, at Hanoi Adelaide School (H.A.S), students from H.A.S, Le Loi High School (Ha Dong), and Duong Noi High School had the opportunity to hear inspiring and insightful messages from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuy Ngoc, Dean of the Faculty of International Education at Foreign Trade University, during the “Path to Your Dream University” education seminar.

With the theme: “Choosing the right university starts with choosing the right high school – How to dream wisely?”, Dr. Ngoc offered a heartfelt and realistic perspective. According to her, dreaming wisely is not just about aiming high — it’s about knowing exactly what you’re dreaming of, why you’re dreaming it, and whether that dream aligns with your strengths, values, and identity.

To get there, students must embark on a journey of self-discovery: truly understanding what they want, accurately assessing their abilities, seeking guidance from teachers and schools, and listening to heartfelt advice from family — all to make the right decisions. This isn’t just about choosing a university; it’s a personal growth journey, where each student learns to identify what makes them unique in an ever-changing world. In today’s globally competitive environment, knowing who you are, what sets you apart, and what you do best is a major advantage — not just for university admission, but for your future career as well.

During her talk, Dr. Ngoc also emphasized that to turn university dreams into reality, students must be equipped with a positive attitude, solid foundational knowledge, and especially global skills — such as critical thinking, teamwork, technological literacy, foreign language proficiency, and time management. These are the tools that will help students thrive, whether they choose to study in Vietnam, abroad, or in an international joint program.

Also on the morning of April 12, representatives from the Faculty of International Education – FTU were present at H.A.S to provide one-on-one counseling for students and parents about international programs. The session not only offered valuable insights into study paths and transfer opportunities but also conveyed a warm, approachable spirit — true to FoIE’s mission of supporting students from the very first steps of their global journey.
