[APPLICATIONS OPEN] GENIE SCHOLARSHIP – “SHINING ACROSS THE GLOBE” FOR STUDENTS OF THE SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION, ACADEMIC YEAR 2026–2027

The GENIE Scholarship Fund (Global – Excellent – Notable – Innovative – Efficient), also known as “Shining Across the Globe”, was established on May 8, 2023 by Foreign Trade University.

The scholarship aims to recognize and support students enrolled in international joint-degree programs who demonstrate outstanding achievements in academics, scientific research, extracurricular activities, and community engagement. It also seeks to motivate and inspire students to explore their potential and foster creativity and innovation.

I. Eligibility

Applicants must be one of the following:

• High school students applying to undergraduate programs offered by the School of International Education.

• First-year students who have enrolled, as well as second-year and third-year students currently studying in international joint-degree programs at the School of International Education, Foreign Trade University, in the academic year 2026–2027.

II. Scholarship Value

Scholarship awards may be worth up to VND 200 million per recipient.

III. Application Requirements (Online Submission)

1. For High School Students (Entering Year 1 in Academic Year 2026–2027)

Applicants are required to submit:

• Scholarship Application Form and Commitment Letter (PDF scan).

• High school transcripts for all three years (PDF scan).

• A valid IELTS certificate or equivalent English proficiency certificate (PDF scan).

• Certificates of awards and participation in extracurricular or social activities (PDF scan).

• Certificates of achievements in scientific research, innovation, or entrepreneurship (PDF scan).

• A self-introduction video in English:

  • Maximum length: 5 minutes

  • Format: MP4 (H.264)

  • Minimum resolution: HD 1280 × 720, 25 fps

  • Good audio and video quality

  • Appropriate attire and content demonstrating why the applicant deserves the scholarship

2. For Current Students (Year 2 and Above)

Applicants are required to submit:

• A self-introduction video in English:

Notes

• Applicants are only required to submit their applications online.

• For students who have previously received the GENIE Scholarship, awards and achievements used in prior applications will not be counted again in subsequent years.

• Scholarship recipients will be required to submit notarized copies of transcripts, language certificates, awards, certificates of extracurricular and social activities, and scientific research documents to the School Office.
