Foreign Trade University - Faculty of International Education

In the framework of the 10th Anniversary Ceremony of the Faculty of International Education, the Faculty organized the closing ceremony of international programs: Bachelor Of Business Studies (Intake 9) run by FTU - University of Bedfordshire (UK), Bachelor of Business Administration with major in Tourism & Hospitality Management (Intake 2) run by FTU - Nan Hua University and Meiho University (Taiwan), and Bachelor's degrees run by FTU - universities in the United States and Canada (Intake 4).

The closing ceremony was a turning point for students of international programs when their dream of studying abroad is about to come true. Having strived to complete the pathways programs at FTU, and fulfilled the English requirement of the partner schools, they will transfer to the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Taiwan to complete the bachelor’s courses.

Among 90 students of Intake 9 registered to study in the Bachelor of Business Studies run by FTU and the University of Bedfordshire (UK), 63 students have completed the first 3 years and been ready to enter the final year, the rest are completing necessary requirements. To reduce the financial burden for students, the University of Bedfordshire has given them a scholarship fund worth up to 1.5. billions VND.

18 students of the Bachelor Program run by FTU and universities in the United States and Canada were awarded the certificate of completion of 3 years in Vietnam. With Canada's special open-door policy, transfer students could have a part-time job to cover basic living expenses; after graduating from the University of New Brunswick, students will have the opportunity to receive a work visa for a minimum of 2 years in Canada. On this occasion, Angelo State University (US) awarded 8 scholarships for 8 students with outstanding academic achievements in the academic year of 2018-2019.

As for the Bachelor of Business Administration program majoring in Tourism & Hospitality Management, this is the second intake to transfer to Taiwan. Following the experience of transfer students of Intake 1 on open career opportunities with salary up to $800/month, the transfer students of Intake 2 are eager to gain experience in Taiwan. With the increasing heat of the tourism industry in Vietnam, the number of students interested in Tourism & Hospitality Management of the Faculty has grown impressively yearly. Nanhua University and Meiho University have offered 50% waiver for 2-year tuition in Taiwan to all students of the Faculty.

In order to encourage students with good academic achievements in 2018- 2019, the Board of Foreign Trade University also awarded prizes and certificates of merit to students with average academic results of at least 80/100.
