Foreign Trade University - Faculty of International Education

On January 1, 2009, the Faculty of International Education at Foreign Trade University was officially established, carrying a vision of global integration. Starting as a small office with only four members, the Faculty has continually grown, steadfastly building a modern, internationally integrated educational environment. Since its founding, the Faculty has been entrusted with managing and implementing the University’s international joint training programs, reaching a total of 28 international collaboration programs, and training more than 7,000 students.

On this 15th anniversary of growth, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Dr. Hoàng Văn Châu, former President of the University, who signed the decision to establish the Faculty. We thank him for his foresight and wise decision that enabled the Faculty's inception.

We also express our sincere appreciation to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Anh Tuấn, who has directed the Faculty in his role as President of the University since 2015. Under his leadership, spanning nearly a decade, the scope of our international education expanded significantly, marked by a broader and more sustainable vision.

Our thanks also go to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Thị Thu Thủy, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees, for her consistent support of each activity and event held by the Faculty. We are grateful for her valuable time, detailed reviews, and insightful contributions, guiding the development of the University’s international training activities for the period 2023–2030, with a vision towards 2040.

We would like to thank Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Thu Hương, Vice President, for her encouragement and support in innovation, quality enhancement, and building a sustainable foundation for the Faculty’s growth—from her role as Head of the Planning and Finance Department to her position as Vice Presdient responsible for international joint programs from 2019 to present.

Our gratitude also extends to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đào Ngọc Tiến, Vice President in charge of the Faculty, for his direct involvement and support in addressing challenging issues in program implementation. He has pioneered breakthrough directions in collaboration with world-renowned institutions, such as Curtin University (Australia), Monash University (Australia), and the University of the West of England (United Kingdom).

This 15-year journey would not have been possible without the support of other departments, academic institutes, esteemed faculty, and the invaluable assistance of our corporate partners. The close cooperation and dedication of all involved have helped us overcome many challenges and achieve success.
