TALKSHOW “HUMAN RESOURCE TRAINING IN THE DIGITAL ERA”

On 29th June 2022, the talk show “Human resource training in the digital era” was held at Foreign Trade University - Quang Ninh Campus. 

Professionals and representatives from enterprises expressed consent that the digital economy and digital transformation are happening across the globe. When talking about Industry 4.0, the representatives agreed that applying digital platforms is vital to enhancing competitive advantage and optimizing organizational management. Especially, the Covid-19 pandemic has posed many challenges to ensuring enterprises' survival and development, if they fail to innovate and catch up with technological trends.

At the talk show, the representative from the Faculty of International Education - Foreign Trade University delivered a speech: “The digital era and Industry 4.0 brings both opportunities and challenges for the economy of Vietnam and particularly Quang Ninh province to enhance the quality of human resource training. Special attention should be paid to the Tourism and Hospitality industry, which are offering spearhead strengths for the province’s economic development.”

Quang Ninh has always been considered as one of the provinces with the most abundant resources for tourism. Besides Ha Long Bay - a natural wonder and heritage of the world - and Yen Tu historical landmark attracting millions of tourists per year, Quang Ninh province also boasts over 600 other historic sites and tourist attractions. All these advantages have been contributing a major part to the remarkable development of Quang Ninh’s tourism, making Quang Ninh a major national and international tourist destination.

To take the lead in meeting the demand for high-quality human resources in Quang Ninh’s Tourism and Hospitality industry, the Faculty of International Education and Quang Ninh Campus - Foreign Trade University has quickly implemented recruitment and training activities for the Bachelor of Hotel and Restaurant Management program, affiliate training with Niagara University (USA). This is the first affiliate Bachelor's training program at Quang Ninh campus. It is aimed at helping students orientate between 2 options of concentrations: Luxury Hospitality Operations and Tourism Destination Management.

After graduation, students can have wide career prospects, with such job positions as marketing and sales, front desk or housekeeping management, restaurant management, dining room management, casino and resort management, catering management, convention services management in-flight catering …
