• Full-time at Monash: Students are immersed in a 100% international environment right from day one. However, the tuition and living expenses are significantly higher.

• FTU - Monash Joint Program: Students study 1 - 1.5 years at FTU and then complete 1.5 - 2 years at Monash. This pathway helps save up to half of the cost compared to full-time study abroad, while still ensuring a complete international experience.

Important points to note:

• Direct application to Monash requires a Vietnamese High School Graduation Diploma with a minimum GPA of 8.21 (for admission in 2026).

• If this requirement is not met, students must complete a Foundation Year program, which costs around AUD 38,400 (excluding living expenses).

• With the FTU - Monash Joint Program, students are not bound by this GPA requirement.

Thus, the FTU - Monash Joint Program not only offers a flexible study pathway and reduces pressure from entry requirements, but also helps parents save up to half of the costs compared to sending their children for 3 full years at Monash. Furthermore, for students who do not meet the GPA requirement and must take the Foundation Year, the total actual cost will be even higher, and they will also spend at least one additional year compared to the regular study plan.
