Foreign Trade University - Faculty of International Education

On 30 October 2015, Faculty of International Education, Foreign Trade University had organized the Opening Ceremony for 8th intake of Bachelor of Business Studies and the Graduation Ceremony for students from the 3rd and 4th intake.

Attending the event, there was the presence of Mr. Giles Level - The UL Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Ian Robinson - Deputy Director from British Council Vietnam, Ms. Debra Leighton - Dean of Business School, UoB, Mr. Gurdip Binning - International Officer. The event also attracted the attention from local enterprises and FoIE was honored to welcome Mr Andrew Martin Kirwan - Director of  Trinity English Center; Mr Ngo Chi Dung – General Director of Ecopharma Company; Mr Nguyen Minh Manh –  Deputy General Director of Hanoitourist Corporation; Mr Pham Xuan Toan - Deputy General Director of Drilling Mud Corporation; Mr Pham Xuan Đa – Director of National Institute for Food Control.

From Foreign Trade University, there were the presences of A. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President, Dr. Dao Thi Thi Giang - Vice President, Dr. Ho Thuy Ngoc - Dean of FoIE as well as the lecturers, students and their parents.

The Graduation ceremony marked the completion of students from the 3rd and 4th intake of Progression Bachelor Program in Business Studies. With the choice of staying in Vietnam and complete the final year at FTU, students from the 3rd and 4th cohort had paid significant effort to finish the program and receive the Bachelor Degree granted by UoB

Among the series of event to commemorate FTU's 55th anniversary, on 30 Oct 2015, FTU and UoB had signed the MoU on Developing Network of International volunteers for teaching english in Northern Vietnam. This project is aimed to support Vietnamese pupils and students to improve their English, especially the listening and speaking skills through direct interaction with UoB students.

On the same day, Faculty of International Education held the Opening ceremony to welcome students from the 8th intake of Progression Bachelor Program in Business Studies. The event was warmed up by the opening performance of the freshmen.

With the aim to encourage the senior students to put further effort towards their studying, President of FTU also conferred the award to students with excellent academic result.

Especially, in order to congratulate FTU on the 55th anniversary, UoB also offered FTU students the scholarship with the total value up to 4 billions Vietnam Dong. This scholarship is for those who will transfer to UoB for the final year of the Progression program in Business Studies.
