Foreign Trade University - Faculty of International Education

On February 7, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - President of Foreign Trade University (FTU) had a meeting with Prof. Tsong-Ming Lin – President of Nanhua University (NHU).

Nanhua University is the first university established by the Buddhist organization Fo Guang Shan, a member of the Fo Guang Shan University Consortium - the first transnational university system in Taiwan.

• In 2021, Nanhua University ranked 64th out of 100 in the Green University Worldwide rankings.
• For 3 consecutive years, NHU ranked in the world's most influential university in the Times Higher Education (THE). Nanhua University ranked 401-600 globally, ranked 14th nationwide in 2022.
• Wins first place among private universities in Taiwan for “Academic Influence” by the National Central Library for 5 years running.
• For 7 years in a row, NHU has been deeply affirmed by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, established the "Life Education Center", the university has a campus of 3 good practices (good thoughts, good words, and good deeds).

During the working session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuy Ngoc - Dean of the Faculty of International Education (FTU) and Prof. Wann-Yih Wu - Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration (NHU) reported to the two Presidents on the key outcomes of activities in recent years between the two universities.

After 3 years of COVID-19 impacts, Nanhua University underlined that cooperation with Foreign Trade University is a major priority to re-establish international cooperation and international education.

To continue the collaboration between the two universities, both parties agreed to sign an extension of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the main contents including encouraging the exchanges of scientific research, lecturers, academics, students, and promoting future joint-training activities.

The signing ceremony took place solemnly under the witness of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Dinh Kien - Head of the International Office (FTU) and Prof. Lin Chun-Chun - Head of International Affairs Department (NHU).
