WELCOMING THE VICE PRESIDENT OF NIAGARA UNIVERSITY (U.S.)

On the morning of March 2, 2023, Professor Duleep C. Deosthale, Vice President of Niagara University (United States), had a visit to Foreign Trade University. 

Assoc. Prof. Dao Ngoc Tien - Vice President of FTU and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuy Ngoc - Dean of the Faculty of International Education received the delegation.

Following the success of the ”2022 International Academic Partnership convention” and the well-established cooperation, the two universities exchanged views and discussed transferring options of different majors for students interested in studying in the United States. 

As discussed with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Tien at a direct meeting in November 2022, Mr. Marc E. Knapper - the US Ambassador to Vietnam, affirmed that promoting educational cooperation between the United States and Vietnam is one of their top priorities. The US Embassy is willing to provide support in connecting universities and offer students favorable options.

According to the 2022 QS ranking, Niagara University is in the top 600 universities in the world, the top 5 universities with the highest value, and also in the top 33 universities in the northern United States (according to the US News).

The average tuition fee for Niagara University is $37,000 per year. However, to develop sustainable cooperation, Niagara University now offers special discounts of $12,000 for students studying at the Faculty of International Education,  Foreign Trade University. The tuition discounts and diverse transfer opportunities will bring students from Foreign Trade Universities closer to the "American Dream", relieving their "cost" burden.

At the meeting, the Vice President of Niagara University introduced the campus located in Vaughn, Ontario, established in 2019 and dedicated to graduate programs. With the hope to establish a sustainable and comprehensive partnership with Foreign Trade University, Professor Duleep invited a delegation from FTU to visit Niagara University in May 2023.
