During the past two years, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused numerous detrimental effects on socio-economic activities nationwide. Especially during the time of social distancing according to Directive 16, the students of the Joint Master Program International Diploma at Foreign Trade University have faced many difficulties and challenges – those who have to maintain a work-life balance and still try to ensure the learning progress thoroughly. While socio-economic activities have been hindered, educational cooperation activities between Foreign Trade University and foreign partners continue to occur regularly and closely to ensure that students are provided with the best learning conditions.

Graduation Ceremony Hall of International Joint Master's Programs

On May 8, 2022, Foreign Trade University solemnly held a Graduation Ceremony for students of three Master's programs: Master of International Trade and Economic Law in association with the University of the West of England (United Kingdom); Master of Business Administration in association with University of Sunderland (United Kingdom) and Master's Program in Finance (Fund Management) in association with University of Rennes 1 (France).

During the ceremony, students from Master's programs in international cooperation had the opportunity to share their experiences of overcoming difficulties and challenges to achieve a Master's degree granted by prestigious universities worldwide. Today's success of the new Masters is thanks to the significant contribution of Foreign Trade University's lecturers and the great encouragement from their families.

Sharing from students about the Journey to an International Master's degree

Speaking at the Graduation Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Bui Anh Tuan, President of Foreign Trade University, emphasized that the new Masters are ambassadors of the program,our partner schools, and Foreign Trade University in all fields, working environments and have contributed to the development of an innovative and creative Foreign Trade ecosystem. According to the University's latest inspection results, the rate of Foreign Trade University graduates who have a job after six months of graduation reaches 99.2%, the highest in the country among all universities in Vietnam. In addition to training and fostering talents, Foreign Trade University has received high praise from society, evidenced by titles and recognitions. In 2021, FTU was recognized as the Pioneering University in building an innovation ecosystem in Vietnam, awarded by the National Steering Committee for Creative Entrepreneurship as well as awarded as the University with the World's Largest Social Impact in Social Entrepreneurship by HEC Montreal Canada.

The ceremony also honored two valedictorians with excellent graduation results and received many compliments from international partners: Mr.Vu Anh Duong - Secretary General of Vietnam International Arbitration Center - The valedictorian of the Master’s programs in International Economic and Commercial Law affiliated with the University of the West of England (United Kingdom); and Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc - Business Analyst - FPT Information System Company, FPT Corporation - The valedictorian of the Master's Program in Finance (Fund Management) affiliated with Rennes University 1 (France).

After a long journey of continuous efforts to study and improve professional knowledge, along with the support of the school and family, students of Master's programs have successfully completed the course and officially joined the alumni network of the Faculty of International Training - Foreign Trade University. In the development process of the current knowledge economy, the role of talent in particular and the intelligentsia in general is increasingly occupying a significant position, not only for the cause of socio-economic development but also for security and defense, domestic and foreign affairs. A Master's degree awarded by prestigious universities worldwide will provide a solid foundation for students to develop further on their career path, contributing to socio-economic development.
