FULL TEXT OF THE CONGRATULATORY SPEECH BY THE PRESIDENT AT THE 2024 GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION PROGRAMS AT FTU

Dear: 

Esteemed professors, distinguished representatives of partner universities;

Respected teachers, honored parents;

And, above all, our new Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates,

First and foremost, on behalf of the entire faculty and staff of Foreign Trade University, I extend my warmest congratulations to all of you—students and learners in the collaborative programs between FTU and our international partner universities—who are receiving your Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees today.

Today marks the culmination of a journey of learning, perseverance, and overcoming many challenges to reach this point. You should be immensely proud of the path you’ve taken, the achievements you’ve earned, and the prestigious degree that you hold in your hands today.

I hope that each of you will continue to embrace courage and passion as you seize every opportunity and take ownership of your lives. Face challenges head-on, reach new heights, and remember that the future holds boundless promise for you. I wish you all success in the journeys ahead.

On this occasion, I also wish to extend my respect to our partner universities for delivering high-quality British educational programs to learners in Vietnam and for building a reputable, sustainable brand for these collaborative programs with us. On behalf of the leadership of Foreign Trade University, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the University of the West of England, Bristol, the University of Sunderland, the University of Northampton, the University of Bedfordshire, and TMC Academy. I hope that we will continue to nurture this collaboration, developing programs that align with the broader trends of our era.

The accomplishments you celebrate today are also the result of the tireless efforts of the faculty and staff at the Faculty of International Education, the dedication of lecturers both within and beyond the university, and the support from administrative staff across our entire institution. We are deeply grateful to the parents for their trust, and to our students for their resilience, along with the organizations and businesses that have walked with us in building an open, Foreign Trade University-centered educational ecosystem. Together, we’ve created added value for these collaborative programs, establishing an essential launchpad for our students.

Your success would not be possible without the sacrifice, support, and accompaniment of your parents and loved ones. On behalf of the university, I would like to express our deep gratitude to the parents for standing by our new graduates throughout their journey.

Once again, congratulations to all our new Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates. As you spread your wings and soar high, remember that Foreign Trade University will always be your home, the place where you took flight and turned your dreams into reality.
