Over the past two years, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam's tourism and hospitality industry is facing unprecedented challenges. The tourism market and tourism activities have been disrupted, leading to the deviation from the growth trajectory. This year, 2022 brings about the context in which the epidemic is gradually being controlled, the tourism and hospitality industry as well as the whole country's economy is planning for the recovery. Regarding the wave of global reopening, this is a special opportunity for the industry to prepare for the large-scale tourism and hotel demand.

As an educational institution, using the motto "Different to lead" as a guideline, Foreign Trade University is deeply aware of its role as a bridge between enterprises and students, especially in the field of International Tourism and Hotel Management. In order to create projects that bring practical value to restore and develop the tourism - hotel industry, the close connection of three parties (academic sector; businesses; local government) is extremely important.

Currently, Foreign Trade University has two International Joint Training programs with partners Vatel (France) and Niagara (USA) in the field of hotel, tourism & restaurant management, providing high quality human resources for famous corporations and hotels across the country. The University’s training partners include: Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Pan Pacific Hanoi, JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72, Sheraton Hanoi Hotel… These two programs are implemented at the Faculty of International Education, Foreign Trade University Hanoi and ICCC Center, Ho Chi Minh City Campus.

In order to strengthen the relationship between the University and the Enterprise, at the same time, re-evaluate the quality of students who are interns at hotels, explore more about the expectations and needs of employers and outline cooperation plans in the near future, Foreign Trade University will organize a Convention on Education in Hospitality Management on March 30, 2022. The program will be held at 15:30 at Sheraton Saigon Hotel, attracting a large number of training partners of the University.

This is an important event that helps to connect and evaluate the overall input quality and output demand of the tourism and hotel industry, from which to build effective cooperation and training plans that support the development of a sustainable tourism and hospitality industry in the digital era.
