The participation of international lecturers in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance joint training program at Foreign Trade University

One of the differences and highlights of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance joint training program cooperated with Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College, Denmark is the participation of international lecturers in delivering the program. This participation helps students explore advanced international studying and teaching methods, which brings the opportunity for them to enhance their major expertise. Lessons delivered by international lecturers always receive enthusiastic interaction and good feedback from the students.

In February and March, Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College in Denmark sent lecturers to teach students of Bachelor of Science in Business administration – Finance joint program at Foreign Trade University. The first three subjects included Independent Study, Advanced Financial Management, and Cases in Management.

Lecturer Charles-David Mpengula taught the course “Independent Study”

The first subject – Independent Study taught by lecturer Charles-David Mpengula from Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College was where the students learnt how to draft a project for an enterprise. Developing skills in writing a business project is essential for any student to become workplace-ready.

In class, lecturer Charles provided knowledge and tools supporting the students to write an effective project. He encouraged students to have and present their own ideas in front of the class in order to practice their confidence as well as their proactivity with the aim of self-organizing actual projects in the near future.

Lecturer Jens Hansen taught the course “Advanced Financial Management”

While teaching Advanced Financial Management, lecturer Jens constructed in-class discussions involving questions of financial management topics such as capital budgeting and fund management to maximize business profit. At the end of each lesson, lecturer Jens gave the students short quizzes to review and sum up the knowledge learnt. This method is suitable for subjects with many complex academic terms of financial major. This teaching method helped students improve their way of thinking, and also enrich their knowledge in financial field.

Lecturer Per Molberg taught the course “Cases in Management”

Cases in Management generates realistic situations that can possibly occur in economic and financial field, which provides opportunities for the students to practice critical analysis and ways of finding reasonable solutions for different problems. Besides expert knowledge, lecturer Molberg also equipped students with necessary methods and tools so they can be more prepared when facing the variety of situations in their future job. In class, students generated their own perspectives in facing and solving problems, discussed to find advantages and disadvantages of each idea, then finally together decided the most suitable method in solving cases in management.

In April, Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College will continue to send lecturers to deliver other lessons to students of the joint training program at Foreign Trade University.
